This lodge is located just ten minutes drive from Johannesburg Airport. It is ideal for a stopover rather than using a stereotyped airport hotel or travelling into the city centre through the traffic. There is a free shuttle bus every hour to the airport. There is very little aircraft noise due to its location away from the flight paths.
The rooms are very spacious and all overlook their game park. Some are self catering. There have been a number of new rooms built recently. All are excellent.
Breakfast is served in the dining room above the conference centre. One table is on a balcony outside. The choice is extensive and includes a full English breakfast.
We found that the big weakness of this establishment is the lack of dining facilities at other times, or a bar.
